Behind the Scenes: Upgrading The River Church’s Media Ministry

When it comes to spreading the Gospel in today’s digital world, having a reliable and modern media setup is more than a luxury—it’s a ministry tool. In our latest project, we had the opportunity to help The River Church level up their media ministry with new technology, streamlined workflows, and a vision for reaching beyond the four walls of the sanctuary.

The Mission

Pastor Ron shared it best: their heart is to reach people where they are—whether that’s in their homes, on their phones, or at a local outreach. This project was all about setting them up with the tools to do just that through a powerful live streaming and presentation system.

What We Installed

We updated and integrated an array of equipment to modernize the church’s setup, including:

  • Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini – Handles multi-camera live switching

  • UltraStudio Monitor 3G – For feeding custom outputs and lower thirds

  • ProPresenter 7 – Drives lyrics, videos, and lower third graphics

  • PTZ Camera & Joystick – For automated and manual control

  • PoE Network Switch – Powers devices without extra outlets

  • Behringer X32 Mixer & Stage Box – Central hub for live and stream audio

  • HDMI Splitters & Custom Cabling – Routing video to multiple displays

Technical Highlights

  • Connected three separate TV zones for synchronized visual output

  • Created custom audio mix specifically for livestreaming

  • Configured lower thirds with ProPresenter and UltraStudio for a polished look

  • Provided training for staff and volunteers to run the system confidently

  • Built-in flexibility for future growth in streaming and presentation needs
